Our renewable energy & sustainable agriculture projects, while highly innovative, are made up of well-proven components designed and installed by experts in their fields. Carbon Harvest Energy has assembled an outstanding team of professionals, predominantly from Vermont, with many years of experience developing landfill gas-to-energy and other renewable energy projects here and throughout New England. Carbon Harvest Energy, LLC based in Burlington, serves as the project developer, landfill project specialist and agricultural integration specialist. Along with strong team leadership and financial management skills, Carbon Harvest's expertise is in project development and management, permitting and regulatory compliance, and designing and operating "closed loop" agricultural systems that strive to transform all waste streams into energy and feedstock, with the goals of zero waste, maximum efficiency and lowest carbon footprint.
With strong engineering capacity and landfill expertise, Carbon Harvest will manage all aspects of project design and build-out. In addition to its own staff, Carbon Harvest’s Brattleboro project team includes: • Sanborn Head & Associates as the landfill gas-to-energy engineering firm; • Highland Power Corporation, a Massachusetts-based company specializing in the design, manufacture, installation, and operations and maintenance of turn-key, small landfill gas-to-energy systems, as the power generation/CHP equipment supplier; • Pearson & Associates Electrical and Mechanical Engineers; • Shems, Dunkiel Raubvogel & Saunders, legal counsel and permit specialist; • Merritt & Merritt & Moulton, business counsel and contracts; • Gallagher, Flynn & Company for accounting and financial advice; • University of Vermont Rubenstein School as our algae research and development partner; and Solar Design Associates of Harvard, Massachusetts as our partner in commercial solar development. We are also members of Renewable Energy Vermont (REV) and partners with EPA's Landfill Methane Outreach Program (LMOP).
